Encounter Youth Development Center, founded in 2003, was inspired by the need to provide safe, quality opportunities to the young skateboarders in our area. With the death of a 13 year-old skater in 1999 the need for a place that these young people could gather became painfully clear. EYDC is completely run by a team of dedicated volunteers who monitor recreational activities as well as build relationship with the young people. We exist to encourage the youth in their commitment to education and personal development.
